Managing Partner at ParrisWhittaker moderates panel at international conference on Stem Cells

As one of the leading legal authorities in the Bahamas, Arthur K Parris Jr recently moderated a panel at an international conference on stem cell research.

The conference, which took place in the Grand Lucayan Resort in Grand Bahama, was attended by stem cell experts from around the world, and included high-profile representatives such as Minister for Grand Bahama Mr Michael Darville.

Mr Parris, known for his exceptional integrity and legal expertise, moderated a panel debating issues around “Bridging the Gap: Research to Point of Care.”

The conference brought scientists, physicians and clinicians together with regulatory experts and investors. Its aim was to discuss progress in the field of clinical research, and in therapeutic innovations aimed at fighting chronic disease. It comes as the Bahamas enters the mainstream of leading healthcare research and therapy, following the implementation of the Stem Cell Research and Therapy Act 2013.

Says Mr Parris: “It was a pleasure and privilege to participate in such an important event – and we look forward to seeing clinical and research outcomes which will truly benefit those who need it most.
