ParrisWhittaker participates in Salvation Army Fundraising Golf Tournament

The Salvation Army recently held their 3rd annual golf tournament launching increased fund-raising efforts to aid in its quest to provide for the less fortunate on the island. These efforts included a Golf Tournament open to all golfers, which took place on Saturday, May 12 at the Fortune Hills Golf Course.

A tiered sponsorship system was put in place, ranging from participation fees to “Diamond Hole Sponsorship”, which amounted to $1500, and included the registration of up to 3 players.

For ParrisWhittaker, non-participation was simply not an option. Arthur K. Parris, Jr, a partner in the firm, said it best, “Philanthropy is a key component of what we believe at Parris Whittaker. It is important for us to consistently do what we can to help the less fortunate. The Bahamas can only become her very best if we as citizens take care of each other, and work together towards a common goal. In this case, we came out to support the very worthy cause of the Salvation Army.”

Parris Whittaker also sponsored a lunch van, which was on hand to fuel the eager participants in what turned out to be a successful fundraising event for the  Grand Bahama Salvation Army chapter.
