ParrisWhittaker, a boutique law firm bringing a new level of energy and commitment to the Bahamas legal scene, has announced the addition of litigator Kenra Parris-Whittaker as Partner.

Founded in 2011, ParrisWhittaker is fiercely dedicated to bringing international standards to its practice. Founding partners Arthur Parris and Jacy Whittaker were practicing real estate/commercial law and commercial litigation, respectively, at Bahamas-based Callenders & Co. Together, they envisioned a leaner, more efficient law firm, and left to form ParrisWhittaker.

Kenra also comes to ParrisWhittaker from Callendars & Co., where she represented maritime crew members, vessel repair shops, shipyard owners, and executors of large estates. She has obtained millions of dollars on her clients’ behalf. As a probate lawyer, she can often halve the waiting time for hearings, particularly for large estates.

Born in Nassau and educated outside of Toronto, Canada, the litigator graduated from the University of Buckingham in 2004, and became a certified Barrister in the Inns of Court School of Law in 2005. Kenra attributes her success to thinking a few steps ahead of her opponent. “I never evaluate a case for whether I’m going to win or lose, but whether I have enough evidence to prove it,” she says.

At ParrisWhittaker, Kenra will continue taking maritime, admiralty, personal injury, commercial and probate cases. ParrisWhittaker is located at Suite 10, Seventeen Centre Bank Lane, Freeport, Grand Bahama.
